The 2008 Golden Percy Cat Product of the Year Award.
Runaway winner of the 2005 Golden Percy is a nice man in Suffolk called Mick Nice who makes such splendid Garden Cat Climbing Frames. An innovative concept well constructed by a master craftsman. Clearly this man knows his cats. The product also looks good and makes an interesting feature in any garden. We are royally impressed with this creation. Comes in a variety of sizes and designs. Primarily for garden use but smaller versions are suitable for indoors.
Our own model was acquired on eBay. Delivery took about 3 weeks. On arrival was mainly assembled but our version required some minor finishing work which should be well within the capability of the average cat servant who owns a hammer.
Here are a selection of Mick’s products.
For the full catalogue see his web site.
Nice Cat Frames
The 2005 Silver Percy was awarded for the second year running to Whiskas for their Tuna and Veg Munchies. A consistently popular product in this house which, incidentally, features some beautifully designed packaging as is the case with all items of this brand.
The 2005 Bronze Percy went to Sainsburys at Greengates for their Delicatessen Counter. A good third.
The Percy Prize for Product Design, Quality and Durability was awarded Cat Mate for their CAT MATE 256 - Electromagnetic Large Cat Flap. An excellent product if somewhat expensive.
Staywell. On the subject of Catflaps the Staywell product is not noted for its longevity and durability in this house. Not our first choice in this category. Be that as it may we have included an actual letter written to this manufacturer for its considerable amusement value. Staywell Catflap letter.

Ikea Pet Products.
Ah Ikea - What can one say. MFI with meatballs. Have you ever seen a cat in Ikea. Definitely not. Cats have more sense.
A selection of items from the Pet Dpt of this multi national retail consumer cruncher.
We could go on about IKEA at some length but will leave it at that.
Next month. Our roving reporter visits Pets At Home. Much more to our liking.
