John Lambert - Kirkby Malham.
Above - The parish church of St Michael the Archangel, Kirkby Malham, Skipton. The Lambert family lived at Calton Hall near the village and this was their parish church where John Lambert must have worshipped many times. Cromwell was a visitor to the church and was recorded as a witness to a wedding. This was probably in respect of a member of the Lambert family.
Left - A plaque erected to the memory of the great man who is buried in an unknown grave at St Andrew’s Church Plymouth.
Below - The beautiful countryside around Kirkby Malham, hardly changed since the 17th C.
